Common Native Mobile System Fonts
When identifying text inside native mobile apps, keep in mind that many apps utilize default operating system typography:
iOS Default: San Francisco (SF Pro)* — Apple's proprietary system typeface. Inter is a free family worth comparing, though it is not identical. Android Default: Roboto* — Google's iconic sans-serif family, available completely free on our Roboto font page. Modern Material You: Google Sans / Product Sans*. The closest free open-source alternative is Plus Jakarta Sans or Poppins.
With client-side font detection, you do not need to install bulky third-party native apps that clutter your phone with ads. Everything runs cleanly in your mobile browser.
